All news- Police Department Confirms Opening of Six Station Counters
Public counters at the Department's six police stations open between Monday 7 September and Friday 11 September 2026. Patrol and response cover at every principal site has operated continuously since establishment.
- Community Policing Teams Assigned to Every Principal Site
Six community policing teams, comprising 50 officers and 18 community support officers, take up their posts at the principal sites of the Network from Monday 7 September 2026. Weekly public sessions begin the same week.
- Police Department Publishes First Statistical Release
The Department's first statistical release covers the transition period from 10 August to 5 September 2026 and the position at establishment: 901 offences recorded, 1,236 incidents attended and 412 sworn officers in post.
About the Department
The Police Department of the Velocity Interoperability Network is responsible for the prevention and investigation of crime, the maintenance of public order and the safety of staff, citizens and visitors at the sites of the Velocity Interoperability Network.
It provides 24-hour patrol and response cover at the six principal sites, operates a police station and a community policing team at each of them, investigates recorded crime, and issues police certificates to staff and citizens.
